ALL IN A LOT OF GOOD CAUSES
Now in its ninth year, Kew Midsummer Fete has become a much-loved local highlight, offering a fun family day out in the lovely setting of Kew Green. It’s run entirely by volunteers and all the operating profits are donated to local good causes – since it started in 2010, £114,266 has been given away to a total of 32 charities in the Richmond area, in amounts ranging from hundred to thousands of pounds.
If yours is a local registered charity and you would like to apply for a Kew Fete donation, please download the information and application below. The committee aims for each year’s awards to feature a range of charities offering different benefits to the local community, and successful applications tend to be for specific projects or purchases rather than for general running costs.
Applications for donations are welcome from Tuesday 3 April 2018 with a deadline of Tuesday 5 June 2018 to allow time for the awards to be announced at Kew Midsummer Fete on Saturday 23 June 2018, from 11am to 6pm on Kew Green.
Also, if you would like a fun way to promote your charity, why not take a stall at the fete? There are still a few pitches left, though they’re selling fast. Or perhaps even enter a team for the hugely popular tug-of-war? We hope to see you on Midsummer Fete Day!
